Summer is finally here and we have fruity cocktails, berry cobblers and iced lollies to look forward to. While it may seem like these sweet treats are a harmless indulgence that we save just for the warmer seasons, be careful not to over-indulge as they will wreak havoc on that beautiful smile. Yes, a delicious ice cream cone or a frozen slushy seem to define those hot summer days, but beware of the amount of sugar that you are consuming. Protecting Your Teeth During the Summer MonthsIf you have a sweet tooth and this notion that you should watch your sugar intake or your oral health will suffer is news to you, do not panic. There are things that you can do to protect your mouth, even during those hot summer months when sweets seem to be part of every meal (and in between).
