|When it comes to replacing veneers, a lot of people do not actually know that this is something that has to be done.
This is, however, important since the veneers installed in the mouth are not something that is there forever. Many of them will have to be replaced over time. Make sure to know the signs that tell you when it is time to switch them out for new ones.
Signs to Be Aware of For Replacement VeneersAny veneers that are cracked, chipped, broken or loose need to be repaired or replaced. If they have fallen off or have a stained yellow appearance somewhere on the tooth, especially towards the top where they are bonded.
When the veneers are too thick for the mouth or too long and look unnatural should be replaced for a more natural, easier to use appearance. Any veneers that do not look natural in the mouth should be redone, especially if they have a poor fit that is rubbing against the inside of the mouth and causing sores to happen.
Gum or root problems caused by the veneers or by grinding or clenching the teeth. This can cause a further problem when it comes to not only the health of the mouth, but also how the veneers look inside the mouth. Any debris or bacteria that get into these exposed areas can cause problems in the mouth.
There are many factors that go into determining how long your veneers are going to last. Usually when you have them placed in your mouth, the dentist that does the job will give you an idea of the length of time they have.
Speak with our dentists here to have your veneers replaced so you can have a brighter, whiter beautiful smile overall. Your veneers are not forever, but that does not mean they cannot be fixed when the time comes. Call us today to learn more!
